SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
Students improved an average of 13 percentile points on the composite score on the CogAT, consistent with results from previous studies using the CogAT and the CCAT (Canadian Cognitive Abilities Test), including a previous study in one of the same schools with students with a range of abilities.The average pre-test score on the Verbal Reasoning subtest for these students was markedly low, at the 35th percentile, consistent with student selection criteria (low reading performance). On post-test, the average score on Verbal Reasoning increased to the 48th percentile.
