Play a Game to Relieve Work Stress!
New research on recovering from work stress! When researchers compared them, digital games were signficiantly more effective in helping adults recover from work stress than the mindfulness apps. Key characteristics of recovery activity: allows you to disconnect psychologically, something relaxing, something that involves development of a sense of mastery, and having control over output. Active social exercise is still the gold standard after a stressful day at work (team sports are ideal), but games can be suprisingly effective.
