For good and bad, technology changes our brains. But then again, so does every experience we have. Our brains develop (throughout life) in interaction with our environment. As one neuro scientist puts it, our brains become what our brains do.
So what are our brains doing and becoming in the digital age? This is the subject of an article just published by The Learning Counsel, authored by Betsy Hill, President of BrainWare Learning Company. In the article she discusses research related to reading, the brain myths and information that students are particularly interested in learning about and provides an example of an exercise she uses with students to help them understand the impact of trying to attend to their digital devices and multitask.
