For example, visual processing deficiencies are often misdiagnosed as symptoms of ADHD and can be the underlying cause of poor reading comprehension. Poorly developed self-regulation is likely not just a matter of bad behavior, laziness or lack of motivation, but of the need for better developing the brain’s executive functions.
