A Blueprint for Developing a 21st Century Worker
Recently we heard that the manufacturing companies in one midwestern state estimate that they will be unable to fill 60% of their jobs in 5 to 10 years because they won’t be able to find qualified workers. The central focus of this webinar will be to address two questions: What are the skills needed by workers today? And how can those skills be developed? ( Hint: traditional education is not a solution.) The webinar addresses topics, including:
- A Conceptual Framework for 21st Century Skills and the Difference between Capacities and Content Knowledge
- Developing the Cognitive Infrastructure for Learning and Problem-Solving
- Rethinking Workforce Training
